Atlantic Canada gas prices this week
4 regulators · 4 schedules
Gas prices in Atlantic Canada are capped by law. This week's regulated maximum for regular runs from 194.6¢/L in Nova Scotia to 224.4¢/L in Newfoundland and Labrador, taxes included; stations may sell below the cap, never above it.
Each province resets on its own clock. Nova Scotia and New Brunswick change prices on Fridays; PEI moved to Tuesdays and Fridays in 2026; Newfoundland and Labrador has adjusted daily, Tuesday to Saturday, since April 1, 2026. All four can step in mid-week when wholesale prices jump, which regulators call the interrupter clause.
Inside Newfoundland and Labrador alone, the cap ranges from 189.6¢/L (Central Labrador) to 239.1¢/L (Grey River / François / Grand Bruit / La Poile) across 25 zones.
